Pick-Up Procedures
When you enroll your student, you'll select one of three pick-up options on the registration form:
Parent Pick-Up
Student is picked up by a parent/guardian at the front school gate
Walks Home Alone
Student is authorized to walk home independently after class
ESS
Student transitions to ESS (Extended Student Services) after class
Your selection helps us know exactly how to release your student at the end of each session, so please choose carefully during enrollment. Need to make a change? Email us at [email protected] and we'll update your student's pick-up option.
Parent Pick-Up
If you've selected parent pick-up, please meet your student at the front school gate at the end of class, just as you would on a normal school day, or use the designated car lane.
If you're parking in the school lot, please walk to the gate to collect your student rather than meeting them in the car lane — this keeps kids from darting between parked cars and moving traffic.
Our instructors have their own families and commitments after class wraps up, so we ask that students be picked up within five minutes of class ending. Students are not able to wait in the school office, so on-time pick-up is essential. Repeated late pick-ups may result in your student being removed from the class.

Early Release From Class
We know schedules don't always cooperate, but we'd ask that you avoid booking appointments during your student's LATBE class time when possible. Because school gates stay locked for everyone's safety, early pick-up requires a little extra coordination.
If you do need to collect your student early, please email your student's instructor at least 24 hours in advance to let them know the exact time you'll be arriving. On the day, plan to call or text when you're on campus so your student can be sent to meet you at the gate.
ESS Students Only
If your student attends ESS, they'll need to check in there first before heading to their LATBE class. Please review the ESS instructions and submit any required forms to your ESS Site Director before your student's first class.
